What is the 'Back on the map' project?

Back on the map is a mission devoted to changing the way we think about, and carry out arts learning. Our key aims are to advocate for the inclusion and appreciation of dance specific learning in compulsory education and to investigate and question what we learn and how we go about learning.

Our work is centred around creating fun and engaging dance learning for young people. Our work aims to celebrate the diverse and global contributions to the UK Arts scene, by promoting an open collaboration of voices and sources when thinking about dance and art history.

The back on the map project carries out projects in the local community and aims to provide a hub of resources for expansive learning. Our project is a multi-faceted effort to better the Arts world, and to nurture a generation of open-minded young artists.
